Extended Care Program

Eltham Woods Preschool offers an after preschool program as an extension to our long day 4-year-old Platypus program.

The Extended Care Program is designed to further develop the children’s learning through exploring their personal interests and engaging them in challenging projects.

There are opportunities for the children to investigate everyday topics. These emerge as projects in which the children research and discover what it takes to reach an outcome. There may not be one specific direction these projects take, as the children bring their own interests and ideas to the table.

As educators delivering the Extended Care Program, we actively promote children’s learning through worthwhile and challenging experiences which foster high-level thinking skills.
